  • The Production Layer Manager leads a team of husbandry specialists at their farm site to effectively produce safe and high quality eggs. As part of the management team, they will play a key role in developing and implementing company goals and objectives.

    Responsibilities:

    • Responsible for farm production by leading team to safely and efficiently develop flocks to produce safe, quality eggs
    • Review production data with team and develop action items to improve farm performance
    • Effectively communicate with employees across the organization to collaborate on company goals and standards
    • Communicate and lead team on company directed processes and projects
    • Train team on company standards, expectations, and regulations
    • Lead team as a results-driven manager, continuously recognizing, researching, and implementing process improvement to drive company performance
    • Responsible for implementing Forsman Farms culture, policies, and expectations at site level
    • Manage day to day projects, efficiently delegating projects and responsibilities among team members

  • Job Description

    The CNC Machinist will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machines to produce high-quality precision parts according to specifications. This role requires a strong technical background in machining, proficiency in programming CNC equipment, and a keen attention to detail to ensure accuracy and efficiency in the manufacturing process.

    Responsibilities

    -Machine Setup and Operation: Set up CNC machines including lathes, mills, and routers, and load materials into the machine. Operate CNC equipment to produce parts to precise specifications, following blueprints, drawings, or work instructions.

    Programming: Write and modify CNC programs using G-code or CAM software to control the operation of the machine and generate tool paths. Troubleshoot and debug programs as needed to optimize machining processes.

    -Tooling and Workpiece Setup: Select and install appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and work holding devices for each job. Align and secure workpieces in the machine using clamps, vises, or other holding methods.

    -Quality Control: Monitor the machining process to ensure parts meet quality standards and tolerances. Use precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges to inspect finished parts and make adjustments as necessary.

    -Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Perform routine maintenance tasks on CNC machines, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn or damaged parts. Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform minor repairs to minimize downtime and ensure optimal machine performance.

    -Safety and Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment. Follow industry regulations and quality standards to ensure compliance with relevant requirements.

    Qualifications

    • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training in machining is preferred.
    • Proven experience as a CNC Machinist, with expertise in setting up and operating CNC equipment.
    • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications.
    • Strong knowledge of machining principles, tooling, and cutting techniques.
    • Experience with CNC programming and knowledge of G-code and CAM software.
    • Familiarity with precision measuring instruments and ability to perform quality inspections.
    • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with minimal supervision.
    • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
